June 6, 2013 Cooking Class

Once again I had a cooking class at the Quinte Naturopathic Centre and forgot to take pictures. {sigh} Oh well…. at least I have the recipes for you.  Here is the menu I presented:

From Kitchen Parade I made Cardamom Pea Soup which costs $8.00 or so to make and feeds 3-6 people depending on the portion size.  I followed this with Collard Wraps made with Roasted Red Pepper Hummus instead of the sunflower seed pate in the recipe and Avocado Kale Salad which costs $14 to make and feeds six people.  There is enough kale salad leftover to eat for lunch the next day with hummus on the side that goes great with Blue Corn Chips with Flax, my personal favourite.  For dessert I made Raspberry Bliss Bars which were amazing as always!  These cost $9.00 for nine servings, so not something you make every day.
